Swedish furniture manufacturer Gärsnäs opened its shop and showroom for summer, welcoming visitors to its location in Österlen, Skåne.
The Gärsnäs showroom at Malmövägen 16–18 in the village of Gärsnäs was open Wednesday to Friday from 10am to 5pm, and Saturday and Sunday from 10am to 4pm.
Established in 1893, Gärsnäs is one of Sweden’s oldest active furniture manufacturers, producing furniture for public and private spaces from its base in southern Sweden.
The company works with a roster of Swedish designers — among them Åke Axelsson, Anna von Schewen and Färg & Blanche — and is known for combining traditional craftsmanship with contemporary design.
The company also maintains a showroom in Stockholm at Skeppsbron 30, which operates year-round for trade visits and consumer appointments.
For visitors to Österlen during summer 2021, the Gärsnäs showroom offered direct access to the full range, alongside the surrounding landscape of Skåne that has informed the brand’s connection to materials, craft and place.
