NOON proudly presents SKETCH, a pendant lamp that combines Färg & Blanche’s creative design language with expertise in modern production. SKETCH is the result of a close collaboration between NOON and the designer duo, founded on a shared vision to create design that unites aesthetics and functionality.
SKETCH is Färg & Blanche’s first product for NOON and emerged from a joint creative process. The inspiration comes from the design studio’s previous projects, particularly the Sketch sofa for Johanson and the The Yellow Thread installation at Stockholm Furniture Fair 2024. The unique installation, featuring standing and hanging lamps with distinct blanket-stitched edges, captured NOON’s attention and marked the beginning of this collaboration.
The finished SKETCH lamp is a large, hanging textile pendant lamp where aesthetics meet functionality through the choice of sound-absorbing textiles. With a focus on flexibility and adaptability, the lamp offers a range of material options and eight thread color choices for the blanket stitching – a detail that has become the signature of the SKETCH series. The lamp carries the same design expression as the Sketch sofa, where the stitching resembles a pencil stroke, enhancing the feeling of a hand-drawn form.
“We wanted to create a product that is both aesthetic and functional. The SKETCH lamp is as much a light source as it is an acoustic solution, ideal for both home environments and public spaces where soundproofing and lighting play a central role,” say Färg & Blanche.
A Collaboration Between Three Swedish Experts
The production of the SKETCH pendant lamp is a collaboration between Johanson, Decibel, and NOON – three companies that share ownership and production facilities. Johanson, already producing the Sketch sofa, contributes its expertise in furniture design. Decibel provides acoustic expertise, and NOON handles the lighting design. The result is a product that combines knowledge and experience from three different fields.
“This is a symbiosis of expertise where each company has contributed its unique knowledge,” says Claes Brechensbauer from NOON.
Design and Function in Harmony
The SKETCH lamp is designed to fit above dining tables, in conference rooms, or in larger public spaces where both lighting and acoustic quality are crucial. Architects and interior designers can customize the lamp to their projects by choosing from a variety of textiles and thread colors for the stitching, making each lamp unique.

The idea for the SKETCH lamp has its roots in the scenography created by Färg & Blanche in Brussels during Sweden’s presidency of the EU. This project visualized three-dimensional sketches of rooms, furniture, and objects with yellow stitching symbolizing pencil strokes. This artistic concept was further developed into a commercial product in the form of the SKETCH pendant lamp.
“For us, the SKETCH series is about translating artistic concepts into functional objects that enrich the environments around us,” say Färg & Blanche.
