String Furniture has introduced an elegant magazine shelf for the Pira G2 shelving system

String Furniture presents a new magazine shelf addition to the Pira G2 shelving system. With its considered design in walnut or oak, the magazine shelf represents a sleek complement to the existing range of cabinets and organizers and provides even greater opportunities for customisation.

The Pira G2 shelving system is a modern interpretation of the iconic Pira original, designed by Swedish architect Olle Pira (1927–2018) ahead of the legendary 1955 Helsingborg Exhibition. Pira G2 was created by Anna von Schewen and Björn Dahlström, with Olle Pira’s original design as their starting point.

The new magazine shelf, launched on the 4th of February, this year, contributes both flexibility and possibilities for new configurations. It merges harmoniously with the classic design from the 1950s, and reinforces the connection between tradition and innovation — a tribute to Olle Pira’s vision of form and function in perfect harmony.

With its signature frame and generous dimensions, Pira G2 radiates poise and elegance, all while maintaining robust functionality. The new magazine shelf is as much practical as it is elegant, making it ideal for showcasing anything from magazines to coffee table books. Whether your shelving system is wall mounted or serves as a room divider, the magazine shelf makes for a stylish and versatile feature.

The magazine shelf is available in white oak and walnut, with the option of white or black grey brackets, making it easy to combine with the other elements of the Pira G2 series. The choice of materials and colour palette create a timeless impression that works well together with both modern and more classic interiors.
