The Centenniale table, which makes its debut in Milan 2023, celebrates the past and future life of old materials. Interior architect and designer Joanna Laajisto has designed the table, where contrasting forms distinguish the different elements, one from another. The chunky but gently rounded legs are a fascinating contrast to the table’s sharper top. Laajisto adds: “the low profile of the table has a grounding effect, bringing harmony and calmness to a space. It also enhances the natural and organic feel of the piece.” The life of the hundred-year-old wooden material is not hidden: cracks, color variations, and other characteristics make each table a unique piece of art.
