Silent Bench
A geometric bench with a strict form in solid beech. The open surface between the seat and the relatively high back gives the bench a unique sculptural expression. The bench has an honest design which proudly displays its sturdy construction in every detail.
“ I’ve probably been sketching benches for years. I like the sober wooden benches you see in museums, they have a discreet design but at the same time a strong wooden expression. They are often pieces of furniture that do not take the focus away from the museum’s exhibition. Our Silent bench is in the world of museum benches, but there is no other quite like it. It’s the bench I would choose because of how we handle the material and our ideas around its construction. ”

About the collection
It’s about being careful with the material and how you use it. About the wood’s structure, solidity and later the comfort of the furniture. With the Silent Bench, I set out to create a piece of furniture that showcases the natural beauty of wood to the maximum without compromising on comfort, says Chris Martin, Designer-in-Chief
