Originally designed as a bespoke piece for London’s Chancery House in 2023
Audo is proud to introduce the sculptural Chancery Pendant Lamp as a permanent addition to its lighting collection.
Hanging above the entrance of the renovated landmark building, the original Chancery lamp was envisioned as an architectural feature — a suspended sculpture that plays with light, proportion and material. Now offered in a refined Ø75 cm version, the Chancery Pendant Lamp brings that same visual elegance to a wider context.
“The lamp was conceived as a sculptural gesture — monolithic, stepped and reflective. More than just a fixture, it is a piece of architecture within the room, which can create space within a space. It mirrors the layered façade of the building’s entrance and transforms as the light shifts across its surface,” says Norm Architects’ Jonas Bjerre-Poulsen.
The scaled-down version retains the original’s grandeur, made from brushed aluminium, with a striking yet restrained rippling, conical form. A built-in diffuser conceals a dimmable opal LED bulb, casting a soft, ambient glow and reducing glare.
Intended as a “high hanging” pendant, Chancery is ideal for rooms with generous ceiling height — stairwells, lobbies or gallery-like living spaces — where atmosphere and proportion work hand in hand.
With this launch, Audo continues to explore the possibilities of form-led lighting — where material
meets memory, and each piece tells a story of place and purpose.
