Lammhults presents a new version of the popular Spira chair –
designed by Johannes Foersom & Peter Hiort-Lorenzen
One of Lammhults’ best-selling products of all time – the Spira chair series designed by Johannes Foersom & Peter Hiort-Lorenzen in 2004 – is now being launched in a new version with a seat and back in black cast polyurethane.
The material allows extra springiness in the back, increasing comfort for the user. Narrow grooves in the seat and back enhance the chair’s character, while also creating small air channels between chair and user.
Spira in polyurethane is suitable in environments where wiping and disinfecting are important, such as hospitals, medical centres and canteens.
Spira was also extended in 2019 with a quilted version, in which the seat and back are now available with thicker padding and quilting to increase comfort and add a new dimension to the chair’s look.
Since a few years back, all models of the Spira armchair have been available with an armchair frame which is connectable, enabling the chairs to be linked without special couplings. The Spira Linc bridge frame comes with a chrome surface and can be combined with polyurethane seats and backs, or with upholstered versions and wooden backs. Thanks to its simple coupling technique and stackability, Spira Linc is suitable for conference rooms and auditoriums, where different kinds of seating are often required at different times
