This year, during Stockholm Design Week, Lammhults will introduce a corner unit for the highly acclaimed Geofanti modular sofa, making it even more versatile.
The Geofanti modular sofa, designed by Anya Sebton, is a big and colourful character with a minimal environmental footprint. When it was launched last year, Geofanti quickly captured people’s hearts — and living environments. So, this year, we’re delighted to introduce a corner unit that adds a multitude of new interior design possibilities. Designing and furnishing spaces with Geofanti will be even easier, now that corners are an opportunity rather than a constraint.

It’s sometimes hard to say why some furniture pieces stir our emotions, while others leave us indifferent. But Geofanti simply has an undeniable and remarkable ability to cheer up its surroundings – whatever the space may be. It’s a sofa that’s great to unwind on, combining strict horizontal, vertical, and diagonal lines with generous proportions and friendly, organic shapes. Geofanti can indeed be described as bold geometry poised on sizable, and a little chubby, feet.
“It’s an expressive sofa that feels a bit like it’s hugging you when you sit down and relax in it. I was looking for a playful personality with the same DNA as Lammhults furniture from the middle of the last century,” explains Anya Sebton. “So, I like to think that Geofanti is related to the iconic furniture of Börge Lindau and Bo Lindekrantz, as well as to Hans-Christer Ericsson’s fantastic graphic design, which helped create the Lammhults identity.”
A keyword for Geofanti is generous. Each module is large enough to comfortably accommodate one person. This also applies to the new corner unit. User-friendly is another keyword: The modules are easy to connect and disconnect, and, once the sofa is in place, its extended legs simplify cleaning underneath it.

But perhaps the most important keyword for describing Geofanti is circularity. For many years, Sebton has endeavoured to create furniture that impacts the environment as little as possible, while lasting as long as possible. The sofa’s upholstery is, therefore, removable and every one of its components is fully separable. This not only facilitates maintenance and repairs but enables the parts to be recycled and repurposed within entirely different future products.
