New additions across seating collections by Fritz Hansen feature small, deliberate changes that extend the life of each design – each piece remains recognisable, yet better suited to how it is used today.
The Monolit™ chair by Cecilie Manz is updated with a new plywood base and a refined shell with lowered armrests, allowing it to sit more naturally beneath tables.
The original shell remains, and both versions can be paired with either a textile or wooden base, offering greater flexibility across dining and lounge settings. Defined by its enveloping form, the chair maintains its sense of comfort and spatial awareness, while subtle adjustments such as a subtle front cut-out for ease of movement improve its adaptability.
Beneath the seat, a discreet integrated storage space adds a practical dimension, particularly in professional settings. Upholstery is available across an extensive textile programme, and carefully resolved detailing and optional leather piping underline Fritz Hansen’s dedication to detail. The contrast between the soft upholstered shell and the structured base continues to define Monolit’s character – a chair that balances presence with practicality.
