Reading table 66

Some of Bruno Mathsson’s philosophy about the comfortable sitting was to provide a reading table, meant to relieve the arms of the user in a prolonged bout of reading. A variant was a reading table placed on floor stands, another was a reading table mounted directly on the chair.

This solution was shown already at Bruno’s debut exhibition in 1936 at Röhsska Museum in Gothenburg. In this spirit, there is a sequel that complements armchair Jetson 66th reading table can be retrofitted and is suitable for both books as e-book reader.

The arm and the reading table are each infinitely adjustable in height and angle.
With a simple operation, the arm can be released and folded away without any other settings changed.
