Hans Bølling HB Lounge Chair New Upholstery

Brdr. Krüger has introduced a new selection of upholstery options for Hans Bølling’s HB Lounge Chair and HB Stool. Previously available with a Canvas or a Brandy leather cushion, both pieces can now also be upholstered in Spectrum by Sørensen Leather in Almond, Cinnamon and Black, alongside a new fabric option, Moss by Sahco/Kvadrat in Cream.

The palette

The upholstery options have been selected to complement the natural character of the wood. The leather selection ranges from the soft, neutral Almond, through the warm tone of Cinnamon, to the more graphic Black. The Cream Moss fabric adds a further tactile dimension and gives the collection a softer alternative to leather. According to Brdr. Krüger, the extended palette lets the pieces move between lighter, softer interiors and deeper, more expressive settings.

“With the new upholstery options, we wanted to give the HB Collection more possibilities without changing its character. The colours are natural and understated, and each one creates a different relationship with the wood and the surrounding interior,” says Jonas Krüger, Design Director and fifth generation at Brdr. Krüger.

The design

Hans Bølling’s HB Collection is characterised by an understated design language in which proportion, craftsmanship and materiality play a central role. The upholstered cushions add comfort while remaining visually integrated with the furniture. With both leather and fabric now offered, the same design can take on different expressions, from warm and tonal to lighter and more contemporary.

Availability

The new upholstery options launch in October 2026 for both the HB Lounge Chair and the HB Stool, with one price across all upholstery options. The HB Lounge Chair has a recommended retail price of €3,210 in Oiled Oak and €3,330 in Fumed Oak internationally, and €3,070 and €3,190 in Scandinavia. The HB Stool cushion is €370 internationally and €350 in Scandinavia. All prices exclude VAT. The collection is handcrafted in Værløse, Denmark.
