Designer Matti Klenell was appointed creative director for the renovation of the restaurant & café at the Swedish National Museum in Stockholm. In this extensive project, over 21 companies collaborated to create more than 80 new products.
Iittala Glassworks participated in the project with the unique, handmade Putki lamps. The massive glass lamps were placed in the large windows of the museum’s restaurant.
Iittala scaled down the Putki lamps to a new size, and now this mouth-blown impressive luminaire designed by Matti Klenell is available in four colors: clear, copper, white, and grey. The vertical lines and pure form create a casual elegance in any interior while the soft glow from the lamp provides tranquility.
