Super comfortable easy chair complemented by a foot stool and a table

Dennie
Design: Nanna & Jørgen Ditzel, 1956
Onecollection is now re-lauching a super comfortable easy chair complemented by a foot stool and a table. The chair has been designed by Nanna and Jørgen Ditzel in 1956 for the company Fritz Hansen, but it has never before been produced in a large scale.
Nanna Ditzel, who was one of the really big modern furniture designers in Denmark, passed away in 2006. Her daughter Dennie, who is taking care of her parent’s design heritage, has asked Onecollection to re-launch the chair, which has always had it’s place in her mother’s house.

To Dennie it is her childhood’s cosy chair, where you sat safely and had stories read aloud. The chair, which we have named Dennie, is delivered with fabric of own choice, but is perfect with Hallingdal 65 in sharp colours.
In many ways this chair leans against the human liberation, which became the starting point of Finn Juhl’s access to design. The chair it’s self is a “body holder” and allows the body to move, and this is not so strange as Nanna Ditzel herself was much inspired by the artistic liberation of Finn Juhl.
Through an inspiring co-operation with Kindt-Larsen’s son Onecollection is proud to re-launch the turnable stool from 1957

Kindt-Larsen taburet
Design: Tove- & Edv. Kindt-Larsen, 1957
The Danish design couple Tove and EdvardKindt-Larsen designed from the 30’ies and in the time hereafter a row of ground-breaking furniture, carpets, jewellery and m.m. Edvard Kindt-Larsen was a student of Kaare Klint, but as early as in the 1930 he broke with Klint and his school, as he wanted to develop a more emancipated and modern style, which was not tied to the classicism and English furniture role models.

Kindt-Larsen was levelling with his friend Finn Juhl, and they were the first to develop a type of chairs, which clearly distinguished the leading from the lead. In contradiction to Finn Juhl, Kindt-Larsen’s mode of expres-sion was more moderate and artistically controlled. The Kindt-Larsen couple was for many years in charge of Snedkerlaugets exhibitions, which became the base of the development of Danish furniture design.
Through an inspiring co-operation with Kindt-Larsen’s son Onecollection is proud to re-launch the turnable stool from 1957. This delicate and sophisticated piece of furniture is in detail produced in a high cabinet maker’s quality.
The back is hammered steel plate and upholstered with leather. The Kindt-Larsen stool is available with or without back and is made in walnut or ash and upholstered with vegetal leather. A used stool from the 1950’ies has just been sold at kr. 34.000 at the Bruun Rasmussen Auctionhouse.

-Warning is a study of how little wood you need for a strong and stable construction with a slight expression

Warning
Design: Linn Anna Bjørk
Japanese paper folding technique and an ordinary warning triangle inspired the young Norwegian designer Linn Anna Bjørk making her slight and sculptural stool.
-The name Warning therefore has a double meaning, as it refers to exactly the purpose of the warning triangle, but at the same time also to the thickness of the stool. It looks as if it is made of fragile paper and not solid wood, Linn Anna Bjørk explains.
Warning is stackable and can be put together in different ways, e.g. a circle. The stool has a simple form, at the same time the triangled conic legs create an exiting reflection of light and shadows and makes it sculptural.
-Warning is a study of how little wood you need for a strong and stable construction with a slight expression, says Linn Anna Bjørk.
The construction in solid ash wood is intelligent and complicated and is hidden inside the elements of the stool. But the expression seems simple and natural as if it was moulded.

-Together with the angles the slightness gives an illusion of the stool being as light as a feather and thin as paper. It is not until you touch the stool that you feel the stability it has, tells Linn Ana Bjørk.
-Warning is made as a comment to the overconsumption of the world with keywords as sustainable design, ecology and effective use of materials. Today’s buy- and throw away society, where incredibly many products are only made for a short time purpose, Warning is made with sustainability in mind, says Linn Anna Bjørk.
Warning is delivered in a beautiful bag made in rough natural linen, reflecting the design of the stool. The bag is made of triangles which have been turned and sewed together – this way it is easier to carry the stool back home from the shop in a bag rather than in a carton box. The bag can be carried in the hand or be adjusted
with a string in a drawstring hem, so that it turns into a backpack. Later this nice bag can be used as a laundry bag, for a beach trip or simply as a shopping bag.
Warning is for everyday use and is a sculpture or a functional piece of jewellery in the room. Available in bright natural ash or black stained ash.
OneCase is based on a simple idea of cutting, folding and assembling

OneCase
Design: Søren Ulrik Petersen, 2010
The designer Søren Ulrik Petersen is a master of crooked thoughts and ideas – he is always looking for other ways of doing things and often uses non traditional methods and materials in order to reach the goal.
OneCase is based on a simple idea of cutting, folding and assembling. The material is white lacquered 4 mm Alu-debond, processed in a modern CNC machine, folded, glued and ready to hang up on a wall.

With changeable high gloss back covers in beautiful strong colors, this optically light looking case gets an incredibly decorative function, never experienced before.
The colours may be changed to other colours and this way you can put your own touch to the room or the mind like e.g. occasion, season, mood or just because you want to.
There is one module only in the “series” + 8 different colours. So simply and so easily it can be done, when you have a tendency of crooked thoughts and straight lines.
Case philosophy
about a case
we need to collect things, which tell others who
we are
we need to collect them and place them in a
case
this is not a bookcase
it is not a suitcase or a briefcase
it is just a case
and when you use it, you build it as you need it
it is a simple thing
it is just a case
just OneCase…
