Celebrate a decade of collaboration between Nichetto Studio and &Tradition with “Designing Memories by Luca Nichetto”: an immersive exhibition at the Danish brand’s Copenhagen showroom during 3daysofdesign 2024. This nostalgic journey transcends generations, akin to discovering a handwritten diary from the past.
The installation unfolds in chapters, each reflecting milestones through giant hands interacting with both new releases and iconic pieces.
The initiation of this sensory journey is marked by the Cloud armchair, evoking cherished memories of lounging on your grandparents’ comforting sofa, true to its namesake.
Afterward, you encounter an inverted Lato table, symbolizing the lollipops bestowed by your grandparents without your parents’ knowledge—a tangible representation of our spirited design philosophy.
The cushions of the Isole sofa, symbolizing memory and familial affection, hover like thought bubbles. The cushions unite with other elements, such as legs, creating a visual metaphor for the bridge between generations.
Adorning oversized fingers like cherished rings is our latest creation for &Tradition, the Sett table—a design heirloom passed down through the ages.
Lastly, on a pillar-like wrist, Tabata outdoor lamps in never-before-seen finishes are arranged reminiscent of your grandparents’ iconic bracelet.
Beyond commemorating the fruitful collaboration between our studio and &Tradition, this installation encourages a nostalgic design perspective viewed through a contemporary lens.
