The new Forma Chair in Dinesen Douglas was presented in the TAKT showroom @ 3daysofdesign.
A new collaboration shaped by wood, craft and care.
TAKT presents a new collaboration with Dinesen, rooted in a shared appreciation for wood as both a material and a craft.
The partnership stems from an ongoing dialogue between the two Danish design companies, united by a mutual ambition to rethink how materials are used more responsible and with greater care.
At the centre of the collaboration is the idea of giving surplus wood from Dinesen’s production a new purpose. Rather than seeing leftover material as waste, the project explores how the inherent qualities of the wood can continue to live on through new forms and applications. The initiative reflects a shared commitment to longevity and material honesty, and a desire to utilize the material’s full potential.

TAKT x Dinesen: Forma Chair in Dinesen Douglas, designed by Lysemose & de Gier and crafted with a focus on responsible material use and enduring quality.
As part of the collaboration, TAKT introduces a new version of the Forma Chair, crafted in Dinesen Douglas wood. Designed by Lysemose & de Gier and produced by Kvist Industries, the Forma Chair is built around an essential composition of four legs, a seat, and a backrest – a familiar typology interpreted with subtle character and refined detailing. A gently curved seat and a lightly tensioned backrest create intuitive comfort. The chair’s legs form a clean silhouette, crafted from Dinesen Douglas, and balance presence with a quiet, understated calm.
The choice of Douglas fir marks a natural continuation of the chair’s story. The very first version of the Forma Chair was originally presented in Douglas fir at the Cabinetmakers’ Autumn Exhibition in 2024, making this collaboration a return to its material origins – now realized in close partnership with one of Denmark’s leading specialists in wood.

TAKT x Dinesen. A new collaboration shaped by wood, craft, and care.
Founded in 1898, Dinesen is internationally recognized for its high’quality wooden flooring and deep knowledge of timber craftmanship. Together, Dinesen and TAKT point towards a common belief: that good design begins with respect for materials – and that sustainability is as much about mindset as it is about production.
The new Forma Chair in Dinesen Douglas was experienced as part of TAKT’s collaboration with Objects May Vary in the TAKT showroom during 3daysofdesign.

Crafted from Dinesen Douglas, the Forma Chair is presented within an installation that highlights the dialogue between natural materials, craftsmanship, and thoughtful design.
