A Decade of Carrie: Audo introduces six new finishes and refined detailing for the iconic portable lamp

Audo presents a renewed expression of the Carrie Table Lamp, Portable, the celebrated design by Norm Architects that has illuminated homes and shared spaces for the past decade.

Introduced in 2016, Carrie quickly became renowned for its distinctive silhouette and practical versatility, pairing a softly glowing opal glass shade with a sculptural base and handle that allows the lamp to move freely between settings, bringing light wherever it is needed.

The latest evolution introduces six carefully considered finishes: Black, Ivory, Golden Brown, Linen Blue, Brushed Aluminium and Bronzed Brass. Each version features leather cord wrapped around the handle, adding warmth and tactility while maintaining the lamp’s familiar form.

From the very beginning, Carrie was conceived as a response to the changing ways we inhabit our spaces. Rather than remaining fixed in one place, the lamp was designed to accompany daily life, moving from bedside table to terrace, from bookshelf to dining table with ease.

The cordless design is rechargeable and provides up to ten hours of light when fully charged, making it suited for both indoor and outdoor use. Its warm and balanced glow can be adjusted across three brightness levels.

Over the past decade, Carrie has become one of Audo’s most recognisable designs. Its enduring appeal lies in the balance between simplicity and practicality, a lamp that offers both atmosphere and mobility without compromise. With the introduction of these new
finishes, Audo continues to build on Carrie’s legacy while allowing the design to evolve alongside contemporary interiors.
