With an energizing mix of exhibitors, exhibitions, talks, and creative installations, Stockholm Furniture Fair 2025 reaffirmed its role as a driving force in the Scandinavian design industry and a platform for design culture. Held February 4–8 at Stockholmsmässan, this year’s edition brought together industry leaders, emerging talents, and design enthusiasts from over 85 countries, highlighting the fair’s significance as a place for business, collaboration, culture, and forward-thinking ideas.
Over five days, 251 exhibitors welcomed over 15,500 visitors, receiving great reviews from architects, designers, buyers, and media alike.
“Stockholm Furniture Fair 2025 has demonstrated the power of thoughtful curation and meaningful collaborations,” says Director Daniel Heckscher. “Our goal has been to create an inspiring platform where ideas, commerce and creativity meet – fostering dialogue that drives the industry forward.”
A curated blend of culture and commerce
The 2025 fair presented a carefully crafted programme that balances commercial opportunities with cultural exploration. British designer Faye Toogood, honoured as the fair’s Guest of Honour, captivated visitors with her installation Manufracture, offering a unique glimpse into her creative process and highlighting the intersection of craft and industry. The fair’s overarching theme, Connecting the Dots, resonated throughout the halls, bringing together disciplines and encouraging new perspectives on contemporary design.
The Stockholm Furniture Fair Talks, curated in collaboration with Dezeen and Disegno Journal, hosted leading voices in design, including Ineke Hans, Ini Archibong, Snøhetta, and Schemata Architects, discussing the future of design and architecture. Meanwhile, the newly introduced Industry Talks at the Material Dialogues bar provided a dedicated platform for in-depth conversations on circular production, material innovation and sustainable practices.
Design bars, emerging talent and experimental showcases
Three uniquely designed bars became vibrant meeting places, each with a distinct concept: Paper Bar by Fyra, a space built entirely from paper-like materials; Material Dialogues by Emma Olbers, exploring new circular materials and methods; and En Bar Bara by All Matters Studio, offering a tranquil escape within the bustling fairgrounds.
Greenhouse, the fair’s platform for emerging talent, showcased over 35 up-and-coming designers and over 20 design schools from across the globe, presenting ideas that challenge conventions. The Älvsjö gård exhibition returned for its third edition, showcasing designers working at the intersection of small-scale, limited editions, and industrial production.
Pushing the industry forward
Stockholm Furniture Fair 2025 celebrated emerging talent through the Greenhouse Best in Show Award, presented in collaboration with Sight Unseen, and the Seek More Award, in partnership with Zeekr. This year, Norwegian designer Tobias Berg claimed the Best in Show title for his talent to design furniture produced from minimal materials, while Danish textile designer Emilie Palle Holm was honoured with the Seek More Award for her ability to merge traditional techniques with forward-thinking design.
“The foundation of Stockholm Furniture Fair has always been, and will always be, the design industry and our exhibiting companies. But it’s also about infusing the industry with new perspectives brought by the next generation of talent, from Greenhouse to New Ventures exhibitors, while cultivating the regrowth of creativity, says Daniel Heckscher.
”Running alongside the fair, Stockholm Design Week continues its rise, delivering world-class exhibitions to the Stockholm experience. We see it as our yin to the yang – different yet complementary forces creating a whole, Daniel Hecksher concludes.
The next edition of Stockholm Furniture Fair will take place February 3–7, 2026, at Stockholmsmässan, in parallel with Stockholm Design Week, February 2–8.
