Offecct collaborates with leading designers and architects to create furniture that reflects today’s and tomorrow’s demands and needs, especially in work places and places for social meetings.

Offecct Collection 2018
Offecct´s original collection for 2018 is gathered under the name Furniture with a mission.

“The digital revolution has changed people’s everyday lives, for example in the way that we can now work in several places and at all times of the day. It’s a change that also put demands on interior solutions and is reflected in our range,” says Offecct’s CEO Kurt Tingdal.

At Orgatec, Offecct shows Japanese designer Jin Kuramoto’s super-light, bio-based chair Jin, Swedish designer duo Front’s meeting island Dune, and new designs by Thomas Sandell, Claesson Koivisto Rune, Luca Nichetto and Mattias Stenberg. New in Offecct’s design team 2018 are Lucy Kurrein (UK), Maximilian Schmahl (DE) and designer duo Daniel Debiasi & Federico Sandri (IT). There will also be design from Michael Sodeaux.

Experimental and challenging design
Offecct will also present the sound-absorbing room divider Soundsticks, developed in collaboration with Andrea Ruggiero. Soundsticks explores how far you can go with creative upcycling, following Offecct’s Lifecircle philosophy.

“Offecct Lab is a dynamic forum where we invite different partners to experiment and test new solutions, materials and ideas. Sometimes the products become part of our standard range, and sometimes they remain important stages of knowledge and development,” says Offecct’s Design Manager Anders Englund.

Cultural initiative on legendary design
In 2018, Offecct also looks back and revives architecture and design from history. In the new culture initiative Edition, design and furniture created during the 20th century is highlighted. This year’s Edition pieces are the first of several planned and contain limited

edition designs by Frank Lloyd Wright and Sven Markelius, adapted to modern demands and developed for the future. At Orgatec the acoustic panel Ennis by Frank Lloyd Wright is on display at the Offecct stand.

“This is a way for us to highlight amazing designers, connect to a tradition that our own design builds on and create new exciting products for our time,” says Kurt Tingdal.

Offecct USB; a limited, unique design by Alfredo Häberli
Offecct has since 2010 developed a new USB stick loaded with the year’s news, images and press releases. Each model is individually designed by some of our renowned designers. The 2018 stick is designed by Alfredo Häberli, who has worked with Offecct since 1998. This USB is unique, produced in a limited edition (ask for your copy at our Press desk).
